Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer at PetSmart in Fayetteville, North Carolina, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with our vision and values. Accredited instructors like you actively promote and conduct classes using our proven curriculum, ensuring safe, fun environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes, and keep areas clean/safe.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
- Serve as training expert, recognizing associates for sales contributions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible scheduling required.
