Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Fayetteville, Arkansas, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and excellence in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits across channels.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean and safe.
- Recognize associates for training sales contributions and assist other departments.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and follow all policies.
Physical Demands
Stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), work in pet hair-filled, noisy environments with live animals.
Experience & Skills
- 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience.
- PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation required.
- Strong communication, organization, computer skills; composure under pressure; flexible scheduling.
