Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments. This dynamic role combines animal expertise, sales, and teamwork in a fun pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences and resolve concerns via phone, in-person, or online.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes while promoting curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and educate store associates as the local expert.
• Ensure training areas are safe, clean, and presentable; handle sick/injured pets promptly.
• Recommend merchandise/services, assist other departments, and follow company policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
