Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Florissant, Missouri, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success while working flexibly across evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits; recommend merchandise/services.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Act as subject matter expert, training associates and recognizing sales contributions.
- Handle sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Requires 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, and exposure to pets/noise.
