Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean training spaces while contributing to store-wide success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences and training outcomes across channels.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
• Maintain all training paperwork and educate associates as the local expert.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and immediate response to sick/injured pets.
• Recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and participate in recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, and strong communication/organizational skills are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling live animals in a dynamic pet environment.
