Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, values, and strategy. You'll actively promote and sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success while working flexibly across evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes, and keep areas clean and safe.
• Serve as subject matter expert, training associates and recognizing sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments as needed.
• Follow company policies and foster a culture of belonging.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and accreditation in the PetSmart Training Instructor Course. Proficiency in computer apps, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs are essential. Exposure to pets, moderate noise, and wet environments is common.
