Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer is the go-to expert for positive pet training experiences. You'll engage pet parents, deliver curriculum-based classes, and promote our training programs to enhance pet lives. This role demands enthusiasm for animals, sales savvy, and a commitment to safety in a fast-paced store setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes while educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, ensure class area safety and cleanliness.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
• Serve as training subject matter expert, recognizing team contributions.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs, standing, and handling live animals in a moderate-noise environment.
