Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, ensuring safe, fun classes that build pet-parent bonds and uphold our vision of superior pet care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead training sessions, managing pet parent experiences and outcomes across channels.
- Actively sell classes and merchandise while educating on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, schedules, and a clean, safe training environment.
- Handle sick/injured pets promptly, assist other departments, and promote company culture.
- Serve as training expert, recognizing team contributions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, scheduling flexibility, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
