Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, upholds company values, and actively promotes our curriculum. Engage pet parents in-store, by phone, or online to educate, sell classes, and ensure safe, fun environments for pets and people.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences and resolve concerns across channels.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
- Maintain all training paperwork and keep areas clean/presentable.
- Educate associates as training expert and recognize sales contributions.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
- Follow policies, ensure safety, and participate in team culture.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, pet handling in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments.
