Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Fresno, California, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes, ensure safety, and foster a welcoming environment. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to educate and inspire.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean and safe.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend services, and assist other departments.
• Recognize associates and participate in Belonging and Recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

Requires 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong communication, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs. Thrive under pressure in a pet-filled environment with moderate noise and occasional wet conditions.
