Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. This dynamic role combines hands-on pet interaction, customer engagement, and store support in a fun, pet-filled environment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct training classes, ensuring safety and positive outcomes for pets and parents.
• Actively sell classes via in-store, phone, and online channels; educate on curriculum benefits.
• Handle pet parent inquiries, maintain paperwork, and schedule sessions per company guidelines.
• Keep training areas clean, recognize team sales efforts, and assist with sick/injured pets.
• Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and uphold company policies.

Experience & Skills

Requires 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure are essential. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, and work evenings/weekends/holidays. Exposure to pets, noise, and wet areas is common; reasonable accommodations available.
