Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success while working flexibly across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences and resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively promote and sell training classes across channels.
- Deliver curriculum-based classes in a safe, clean environment.
- Maintain records, schedule sessions, and train associates on programs.
- Handle pet emergencies, recommend products, and foster belonging.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a dynamic retail setting.
