Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives class enrollment. You'll uphold our vision while ensuring safe, engaging sessions in a dynamic retail environment. This role demands energy, pet passion, and customer focus to foster lifelong pet-parent bonds.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pet training classes following PetSmart curriculum, prioritizing safety for pets and people.
• Actively sell classes via in-store interactions, phone, and online channels; educate on program benefits.
• Handle pet parent inquiries, concerns, and outcomes across all channels.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and clean training areas.
• Serve as training expert for store associates, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
• Respond to pet health issues and participate in Belonging & Recognition initiatives.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Strong communication, organization, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
