Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and excellence in Glen Burnie, MD store. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays required.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage pet parents via phone, in-person, online; resolve concerns and drive sales.
- Educate on full training curriculum; schedule classes per company guidelines.
- Maintain clean, safe training areas; handle sick/injured pets promptly.
- Train associates as subject matter expert; recommend merchandise/services.
- Follow policies, assist other departments, participate in recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
Seek 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, strong communication/organization. Physical demands: lift 50lbs, stand/walk extensively, handle pets in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair exposure.
