Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision and curriculum. Based in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, this role combines education, sales, and hands-on pet care in a dynamic retail setting. You'll be the go-to expert, fostering safe, fun learning environments while contributing to store success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, addressing concerns promptly.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes, educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and keep areas clean/safe.
• Recognize team contributions, assist other departments, and handle pet emergencies like vet transport.
• Follow company policies and participate in our culture of recognition.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and accreditation from the PetSmart Training Instructor Course. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are essential. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. Physically, expect standing, lifting up to 50lbs (team lifts over 100lbs), and exposure to pets, noise, and wet environments.
