Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in our Glendale, AZ store, you'll engage pet parents and their furry friends, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell our proven curriculum while ensuring safety and satisfaction in a fun, pet-filled environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
- Drive sales of training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Serve as store training expert, recognizing associate contributions.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
