Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer at our Goodyear store, you'll engage pet parents and their furry friends, delivering positive reinforcement-based training per PetSmart's proven curriculum. This role combines education, sales, and hands-on pet care to foster lifelong bonds between pets and families. Ideal for animal enthusiasts with retail experience seeking flexible, rewarding work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead group and private training classes, ensuring safe, fun environments.
• Actively promote and sell training packages in-store, online, and by phone.
• Handle pet parent inquiries, concerns, and outcomes via phone, in-person, or virtual.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and clean training areas.
• Recognize team contributions, educate associates on training benefits, and assist other departments.
• Respond to pet health issues, recommending services and merchandise.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays required.
