Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Grand Blanc, Michigan, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and conduct classes using our proven curriculum, ensuring safety and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Drive sales of training classes across channels and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Serve as training expert for store associates, recognize contributions, and assist other departments.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend products, and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure.
