Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision and curriculum. You'll proactively educate on training benefits, sell classes across channels, ensure safety, and contribute to a culture of belonging in our Grande Prairie store.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes while educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and keep areas clean/safe.
• Serve as training expert, recognizing associates who drive sales.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and follow policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in a dynamic pet environment.
