Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer at our Green Valley store, you'll engage pet parents and their furry friends, delivering positive reinforcement training per PetSmart's proven curriculum. This role combines education, sales, and hands-on pet care to foster lifelong bonds between pets and families. Expect a dynamic position with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead in-person, phone, and online training sessions while prioritizing pet parent satisfaction.
• Actively promote and sell group/private classes, educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain accurate records, schedule classes, and ensure a safe, clean training environment.
• Handle emergencies like sick pets, collaborate across departments, and recognize team sales efforts.
• Uphold company policies, recommend merchandise, and contribute to store culture.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Strong communication, organization, and pet-handling skills are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and exposure to pets/noise.
