Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, values, and strategy. You'll actively promote and sell our curriculum-based classes, ensuring safe, clean environments and exceptional outcomes both in-person, over the phone, or online.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences and resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes across channels and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes per company guidelines, and keep areas clean/safe.
• Serve as subject matter expert, training associates and recognizing sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise/services, and assist other departments as needed.
• Follow all policies, participate in belonging initiatives, and ensure physical safety (lifting up to 50lbs).

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include standing, lifting, pet handling in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments.
