Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. Based in Greensboro, NC, this role involves hands-on training, sales, and ensuring safe, clean environments for pets and people. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in our dynamic retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage pet parents via phone, in-person, or online to manage experiences and resolve concerns.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes while promoting curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and educate store associates as the local expert.
• Ensure safety in training areas, respond to sick/injured pets, and recommend merchandise.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and participate in our culture of recognition.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are key. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and handling live animals in a moderate-noise environment with pet hair exposure.
