Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, values, and strategy. You'll actively promote and conduct classes using our proven curriculum, ensuring safe, fun environments that drive customer satisfaction and sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, addressing concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes, and keep areas clean and safe.
• Serve as training expert for store associates, recognize contributions, and recommend merchandise/services.
• Handle sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and participate in our Belonging culture.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must handle pressure, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet environments.
