Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive reinforcement-based training classes, engages pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll actively promote and sell our curriculum while ensuring safe, clean environments in our Hamilton store.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedules per company standards.
• Ensure safety in training areas; respond to sick/injured pets including vet transport if needed.
• Clean training spaces, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and foster a culture of belonging.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
