Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Hamilton, Ontario, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Educate on training benefits, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to empower pets and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes across channels.
• Maintain all training paperwork and educate store associates as SME.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness in training areas; handle sick/injured pets.
• Recommend merchandise/services and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure essential. Flexible for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50lbs+, standing, and animal exposure in moderate-noise, pet-hair environment.
