Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives sales while upholding our vision. Accredited through our Training Instructor Course, you'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, ensuring safe, fun classes that build pet-parent bonds and boost store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead training sessions following PetSmart curriculum, prioritizing pet parent satisfaction and outcomes.
- Actively sell classes, educate on benefits, and manage scheduling/paperwork.
- Maintain clean, safe training areas; respond to pet health issues and assist other departments.
- Serve as training expert, recognizing team contributions and recommending services/merchandise.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training accreditation, computer skills, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and strong communication/organization. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in a dynamic pet environment.
