Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives sales while upholding company values. Based in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, you'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, ensuring safe, fun environments for pets and people. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pet training services following PetSmart's curriculum and handle pet parent interactions across channels.
• Actively sell classes, recommend merchandise, and educate on training benefits.
• Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
• Respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and recognize team contributions.
• Follow all policies while participating in store culture.

Physical Demands

Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle pets in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments with occasional wet/mechanical exposure. Depth perception required.

Experience & Skills

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience.
• PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation.
• Computer proficiency, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays.
