Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Heath, Ohio, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes, ensure safety, and educate on our proven curriculum. This role demands energy, pet passion, and customer focus in a dynamic retail environment with live animals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Drive sales of training classes and related merchandise across channels.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and clean training areas.
• Create safe environments, handle sick/injured pets, and assist other departments.
• Educate associates as training expert and participate in recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure essential. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in moderate-noise settings.
