Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences using our proven curriculum. Based in Hendersonville, North Carolina, you'll engage pet parents, sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success. This role demands energy, pet passion, and customer focus in a dynamic retail pet environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes while educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Serve as training expert for store associates and recognize sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. You must stay composed under pressure, organize effectively, and flex for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise setting.
