Role Overview

PetSmart’s Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments while contributing to store success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences and resolve concerns across channels.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
• Maintain all training paperwork and educate associates as subject matter expert.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness in training areas; handle sick/injured pets promptly.
• Recommend merchandise/services and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must handle pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and animal exposure in moderate-noise environments.
