Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, values, and strategy. You'll actively promote and conduct classes using our proven curriculum, ensuring safe, fun environments while driving sales and customer satisfaction in our Hot Springs store.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits across channels.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes per company guidelines, and keep areas clean/safe.
• Serve as training expert for store associates, recognize contributions, and assist other departments.
• Handle sick/injured pets immediately, recommend merchandise/services, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), standing/walking, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet environments.
