Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences using our proven curriculum. You'll engage pet parents, sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success. This dynamic role combines pet expertise, customer service, and sales in a fun, pet-filled retail setting. Full-time position with flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training classes, educate on curriculum benefits, and manage pet parent interactions via phone, in-person, or online.
• Actively sell training services and merchandise while recognizing associate contributions.
• Maintain clean, safe training areas and respond to pet health issues, including vet transport if needed.
• Handle paperwork, scheduling, and serve as training expert for store team.
• Assist other departments and uphold company policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Passion for animals and organizational skills required.
