Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, values, and strategy. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety, education, and outstanding outcomes over phone, in-person, or online.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences, addressing concerns and delivering training per curriculum.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes across channels; educate on full curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, training area cleanliness, and safe environments for classes/store.
- Recognize associates for training sales contributions; assist other departments as needed.
- Handle sick/injured pets promptly, recommend merchandise/services, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, pressure-handling ability, flexible scheduling, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, pet handling in moderate-noise/wet environments with animals.
