Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Howell, Michigan, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes, educate on curriculum benefits, ensure safety, and maintain top-notch standards. This dynamic role combines pet expertise, customer service, and sales in a fun, pet-filled environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes across channels and educate on full curriculum benefits.
• Handle all training paperwork, scheduling per company guidelines, and keep areas clean/safe.
• Serve as training expert for store associates, recognize sales contributions, and recommend merchandise.
• Respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and uphold policies.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, pressure-handling ability, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, pet handling in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments. Depth perception and safety awareness essential.
