Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, by phone, or online, selling classes and ensuring safe, fun environments while contributing to store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences and resolve concerns across channels.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
- Maintain all training paperwork and keep areas clean/presentable.
- Educate associates as the local pet training expert and recognize sales efforts.
- Ensure safety, handle sick/injured pets, and recommend merchandise/services.
- Assist other departments and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
