Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers expert training services, engages pet parents, and drives positive outcomes. You'll uphold our vision by providing curriculum-based classes, ensuring safety, and promoting services in our Indianapolis store.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pet training sessions in-person, phone, or online, managing pet parent experiences and concerns.
- Actively sell classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain records, schedule sessions, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Serve as store training expert, recognizing associate sales efforts.
- Handle pet emergencies, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and flexibility for evenings/weekends. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a dynamic store setting.
