Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers expert training services, engages pet parents, and drives positive outcomes through our proven curriculum. This role combines hands-on pet interaction, customer education, sales, and store support to ensure safe, fun experiences for all. Key Responsibilities

• Lead training classes, ensuring safety for pets and people while maintaining clean areas.
• Actively sell classes via in-store, phone, and online channels; educate on curriculum benefits.
• Handle pet parent interactions, concerns, and paperwork with strong communication.
• Serve as training expert for associates, scheduling classes per company guidelines.
• Respond to pet health issues, recommend services, and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Requires 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Must lift 50+ lbs, handle animals in moderate-noise/wet environments, and stay composed under pressure. Strong organization, communication, and sales skills essential.
