Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, ensuring safe, fun classes while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences and resolve concerns across channels.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
- Maintain all training paperwork and educate store associates as SME.
- Ensure clean, safe training areas and respond to pet health emergencies.
- Recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and follow policies.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling live animals in a dynamic pet environment.
