Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers exceptional training services, engages pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. This role combines animal expertise, customer service, and sales in a fast-paced pet retail setting. You'll ensure safe, positive experiences for pets and people while contributing to store success.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct training classes, managing pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online.
• Actively sell classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain paperwork, schedules, and a clean/safe training environment.
• Recognize associate contributions and assist other departments as needed.
• Handle sick/injured pets promptly and recommend merchandise/services.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
