Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision and curriculum. You'll proactively educate on training benefits, sell classes across channels, ensure safety, and contribute to a culture of belonging in our vibrant store environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes while educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, cleanliness, and a safe environment for classes and store areas.
• Handle sick/injured pets immediately, including vet transport if needed.
• Recommend merchandise/services, assist other departments, and recognize team contributions.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), standing/walking, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet areas.
