Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision and curriculum. You'll sell classes, educate on benefits, ensure safety, and contribute to a welcoming store environment in Kansas City stores.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively promote and sell training classes across channels.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
• Ensure safe, clean training areas and handle pet emergencies like vet transport.
• Educate associates as training expert and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
