Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision. Accredited in our Training Instructor Course, you'll engage customers via phone, in-person, or online, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments. This dynamic role combines animal care, sales, and teamwork in a pet-loving retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training classes following PetSmart curriculum and manage pet parent interactions.
• Actively sell and schedule classes while educating on benefits.
• Maintain records, cleanliness, and safety; respond to pet health issues.
• Train associates as subject matter expert and assist other departments.
• Recommend merchandise and participate in company culture.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training accreditation, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Must excel in communication, organization, composure under pressure, and lifting up to 50lbs. Comfort with animals, moderate noise, and pet hair required.
