Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Kelowna, British Columbia, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Educate on training benefits, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments while contributing to store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes across channels.
- Maintain all training-related paperwork and educate store associates as SME.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness in training areas; handle sick/injured pets.
- Recommend merchandise/services and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years retail/customer service experience.
- PetSmart Training Instructor Course accreditation.
- Computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills.
- Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays.
Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle pets in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair exposure. Depth perception required.
