Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in our Kenosha, Wisconsin store, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell our curriculum-based classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to educate and inspire.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
• Ensure safe, clean training areas; handle sick/injured pets and transport to vet if needed.
• Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and recognize team contributions.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure required. Must lift 50+ lbs, handle live animals, and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and exposure to pet hair/noise.
