Role Overview

PetSmart’s Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision and curriculum. You'll proactively educate on training benefits, sell classes across channels, ensure safety, and contribute to a culture of belonging in our Kingston store.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage pet parent interactions via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns and driving outcomes.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
• Maintain all training paperwork and keep areas clean/presentable.
• Serve as training expert, educating associates and recognizing sales efforts.
• Ensure safety, handle sick/injured pets (including vet transport), and recommend merchandise/services.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and participate in recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, handling animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair environment.
