This dynamic role combines hands-on pet interaction, customer engagement, and store expertise in a fun, pet-filled environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead training classes, ensuring safety and positive outcomes for pets and parents.
- Actively sell classes via in-store, phone, and online channels; recommend merchandise.
- Handle pet parent inquiries, concerns, and paperwork with precision.
- Maintain clean, safe training areas; respond to pet health issues promptly.
- Educate store associates as training SME and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Requires 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Passion for pets and organizational skills essential.
