Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Kitchener, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Accredited instructors educate on our curriculum, sell classes, and ensure safety while contributing to store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and merchandise; educate on full curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Serve as training expert for associates; recognize sales contributions.
- Handle sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure essential. Flexible for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50lbs, handling animals in moderate noise/wet environments.
