Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive reinforcement-based training classes, engages pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. This role ensures safe, fun experiences in-store while upholding company values. Ideal for animal lovers with retail experience seeking flexible, rewarding work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions, educate on curriculum benefits, and resolve pet parent concerns via phone, in-person, or online.
• Actively sell classes, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments as needed.
• Maintain clean training areas, handle sick/injured pets, and schedule per company guidelines.
• Serve as training expert for store associates and recognize sales contributions.

Experience & Skills

Requires 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure. Must lift 50+ lbs, handle animals in moderate-noise/wet environments, and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays.
