Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Lake Wales, Florida, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Accredited instructors like you educate on training benefits, sell classes, and ensure safe, fun environments for all.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes while promoting the full curriculum.
- Maintain all training paperwork, clean areas, and create safe spaces for pets and people.
- Educate store associates as the pet training expert and recognize their sales contributions.
- Handle emergencies like sick/injured pets, recommend services, and support other departments.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication skills. Thrive under pressure with organizational detail, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs in a pet-filled environment.
