Role Overview
PetSmart’s Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives class enrollment. You'll uphold our vision while ensuring safety and excellence in a dynamic retail environment with live animals and pet parents.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage pet parents via phone, in-person, or online to sell and deliver training classes.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule sessions, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Act as subject matter expert, educating associates and recognizing contributions.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend services/merchandise, and assist other departments.
- Follow all policies, creating memorable pet parent experiences.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, pressure-handling ability, flexible scheduling, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in moderate-noise settings.
